To know Addie and Will is to love them! Addie’s parents instantly made us feel like we were a part of the family, and honestly some of AJE’s biggest cheerleaders to date! Once you see how this family celebrates weddings, you will also want to join in! There were so many sweet details about their wedding day.
The week leading up to the wedding, we were all praying and holding our breaths over the weather reports.Scratching our heads at the North Carolina weather, we prepared ourselves for the wind, rain and cold ahead. Addie had her heart set on a wedding outside at the beautiful Southern Grace Farms venue, but we had to make her day just as perfect in the rain!
The day started and our focus was on making Addie feel like the most amazing bride, because truly she was! Our plan A for the ceremony was down by the pond, however plan B was inside where the reception would be, with the bridal party standing on the covered porch with the landscape from the farm behind them!
Addie was cool calm and collected surrounded by her closest girls and sorority sisters in the bridal suite and her Mom never leaving her side.
Will was down in the groom's cottage surrounded by his Fraternity brothers, and awaiting the ceremony to start! Both Addie and Will were so serene all day with nothing but smiles on their faces.
Addie and Will opted not to do a first look, but had a first touch instead where they were able to chat, pray and hear each other's voice. Watching this moment, as the chaos was swirling around them to prepare for the upcoming wedding was so sweet! Time slowed down for these two, and they were so excited to just be together for these few moments.
I mentioned Addie's family, and how truly amazing they were! From the 4 grandkids, all the way to Addie's grandmother, we loved them all. Addie's father, officially labeled "Addie's Daddy" for the weekend, and her three older brothers were the life of the party. Addie's brother Kit officiated the wedding, and spoke the most beautiful words over these two during their ceremony.
Addie and Will left the ceremony as the new Mr + Mrs Sinden, and wanted to steal away for a little bit to have a private dinner as newlyweds! We loved this special moment for them. Upon returning to the ceremony, Addie and Will both danced with father and mother respectively. Addie and "Addie's Daddy" danced to I've got sunshine, and boy did we need that after the pouring rain that still had not let up.
The true highlight of the night after tables were moved, and chairs replaced was the reception to follow that celebrated Addie and Will. Have you ever heard of napkin hats? Neither have we, but they are our new favorite wedding tradition! Walking into a very crowded reception hall to a sea of napkin hats and Hawaiian shirts.
What made Addie and Will's day so special you might ask? The vendors that helped this day run smoothly although Plan B had to quickly become Plan A. The friends that flew in from all across America to celebrate these two, and Addie and Will's families that love them so fiercely! Cheers to the newly weds! We had an absolute blast celebrating you on your special day!
