"Flipping the Venue for a Night of Dancing"

Olivia and Joseph are such a fun-loving couple, and we had a blast making their vision come to life! Their wedding was definitely one of our biggest projects, but the Alyson Jean Events team loves a good challenge! With a 300 person guest count and an indoor ceremony with a full flip to the reception, we had our work cut out for us!

Olivia + Joseph's wedding took place on March 12th, 2022 at The Carolina Grove just outside of Hillsborough, NC. The venue is absolutely gorgeous with all of the open windows and amazing light!

We had every weather imaginable on this day - sunshine, rain and even snow!

Although we had to move the ceremony inside, everything still turned out beautiful. The cathedral-esque structure of the window panes gave the appearance of a church which we all absolutely loved!

Olivia's look was more BOHO with the pampas grass surrounding them during their ceremony, and the mix and match bridesmaids dresses completed the look! We definitely think their photos are magazine worthy!

With the cocktail hour outside, we had one hour to fully transition this gorgeous ceremony space into Olivia's dream reception! This feat is reason enough to hire a wedding planner and the proof is in the photos!

The Alyson Jean Events team worked with the venue staff at Carolina Grove to get all of the tables and chairs in place, while Cook Shack Catering was meticulously setting each piece of silverware and the florist, Jody McLeod was ensuring that all of the table decor was perfectly placed! This took over 20 people to bring to life and highlights even more the importance of an experienced vendor team!!

Olivia left no detail overlooked in what she dreamed up for her gorgeous reception space, and we worked with the other vendors to make sure that her vision was brought to life! The head table had the most romantic feel with the brushed gold tones and the warm candlelight.

The Perfect backdrop for guest photos was also set up, and ready for all the Photo-Ops. We love a good boxwood wall and neon sign!

The goal we had on Olivia and Joseph's wedding day was that they were able to be fully and completely present with their friends and family! We wanted to make sure that neither the bride or groom or any of their guests felt the stress of helping to decorate or tear down. The bride and the groom deserve to walk into their reception space with an overwhelming joy of seeing their vision come to life! Luckily, Olivia and Joseph were able to dance the night away surrounded by all of their favorite people in one place!
